Consumer Review Platform

In Development

ScamLikely

2025 – Present

An in-development project designed to be a consumer review platform for the AI age—an honest broker in a landscape dominated by pay-for-play platforms and proliferating internet scams.

Thesis

It's no secret that platforms like TrustPilot are pay-for-play, where firms offended by customer reviews can pay for removal, and those who don't wish to participate are effectively blackmailed over their low "trust" score. At the same time, given the widespread adoption of AI, internet scams have proliferated—deep fakes, dishonest services, fake SaaS, and more now litter the internet. "ScamLikely" is a play on the CallerID name you see on your iPhone when a phone number is deemed untrustworthy. The name is meant to derive quick recognition as a scam watchdog while hopefully helping in the SEO realm as well.

Approach

It's a straightforward design where businesses can create or claim their business page for free, and users create free accounts to leave reviews and ratings on business pages. Admins moderate reviews for inappropriate materials and work with users to flag false claims for removal. There's also a built-in blog component designed to optimize search engine scoring.

Current Status

The main platform is currently functional for all core use cases, but the UI is hideous. It's so ugly that I certainly wouldn't use a site that looks like it, and so I wouldn't expect strangers to either. Once I give it a UI overhaul, I plan to release an early version and begin ideating on traffic-driving strategies.

Traffic & Monetization Plans

Traffic ideas include SEO optimization, social placement on review forums like Reddit, and potentially fake infomercial "fail" style TikToks/Reels. Planned monetization routes (sold to business users): • Verification Badges • Ad removal on their page • Shareable social elements • Highlighted favored reviews TrustPilot has a staggering $200M+ annual revenue. The starting goal would be to eventually capture 0.5% of TrustPilot-type traffic.
